  • Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star debuts on OWN on Jan. 7th, and they’ve released the list of the ten contestants competing for their, well, own show. Included on the list is West Hollywood’s Ryan O’Connor, who says he wants to be the country’s gay best friend. “If a variety show and a traditional talk show had a baby, that’d be my show.”

  • What Not To Wear host Clinton Kelly apparently wants nothing to do with fellow TLC star Sarah Palin, saying “She basically stands for everything I don’t stand for or I’m against.”
  • Dan Savage was the AE staff pick for Gay/Bi Man of the Year, and below you can see why, as he rips apart GOProud as “gay quislings and useful idiots.” On a side note, MSNBC has been on adorkable leftie overload lately, with Chris Hayes, Ari Melber and now Sam Seder all over the place.

  • Oh jeez. The BBC has responded to the firestorm of criticism over their decision to have a “death penalty for gays” supporter speak out against Elton‘s fatherhood. So why did they do it? Because the story required “balance.”
  • Speaking of Elton, below you can see his and David‘s parenthood mocked by that Tiawanese site that makes parody news vids. Usually what they do is spot-on and hilarious, but this is … appalling.

  • Okay, first of all … Chris Brown has gay fans? Secondly, if you’re working hard to make over your image so you come of as less of an asshat, it might be a good idea to just shut the hell up for a while. Oh look! He took my advice!

  • January is National Drag History Month, and below you can see a new PSA from Logo featuring a terrifying looking Tyra Sanchez, who I think was on her way to audition for the remake of Tourist Trap.

  • Finally, here’s part three of the preview of the upcoming SyFy classic Mega-Python Vs. Gatoroid. Today’s clip features Mrs. McCluskey from Desperate Housewives feeding piles of Teri Hatcher‘s old skin to some gators.
