In broad strokes, the new indie comedy Bachelorette seems familiar: Three women attend their best friend’s wedding and chaos ensues. But Bachelorette‘s characters are far too dynamic to be considered standard in any way. Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, and Isla Fisher swear, fight, and say awful things about each other, yet you love their consummate honesty and meanness. It’s life-affirming. It’s over the top and real. And I could watch it again and again.
Join me as I interview Dunst, Caplan, Fisher, Bridesmaids alum Rebel Wilson, and the writer/director who made this bad-ass spectacle possible, Leslye Headland.
