Now, presenting … THE TOP 40 HORROR FILMS OF THE 80′S! Journey with me back to the birth of the Dead Teenager movie (actually, that began in the 70′s, so I guess it would be the Afterbirth Of The Dead Teenager Movie), the last gasps of the Italian Horror Masters, and the franchises that still continue today. Yes, your Freddy, Jason, and Chucky will be represented, but I’m also going to pay tribute to the obscurities that deserve to be seen. And here we have the TOP TEN HORROR FILMS OF THE 80′S! At #4 is … Day Of The Dead

Like yesterday’s The Fog, Day Of The Dead is another follow-up to a classic film that received nothing but scorn upon its release. George Romero hit the jackpot with Night Of The Living Dead, and its sequel Dawn Of The Dead is, in my opinion, the greatest horror film ever made. But this 1985 continuation was not well regarded, to put it mildly. As I’ve mentioned before, I love claustrophobic horror movies, and this fit the bill perfectly, as it took place mostly underground, which is the last place you want to be when the inevitable zombie onslaught begins.

Congrats to Will G , who was the first to correctly guess that yesterday’s Pixuzzle™ © ® was Happy Days.
