And here’s The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we’re going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We’ll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT to … Dan Bucatinsky. Wrapping up our week with Dan, he’s enjoying a huge career high right now with the success of Scandal, and just last week won the Emmy Award for Guest Actor. Here you can see him backstage right after winning.
And now we have the 50 GREATEST LOST HITS OF THE 90′S! I’ve often ragged on the pop music of the 90′s for being an arid desert devoid of fun, but there were bright spots, including these 50 songs, which should have performed better on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Like The 100 Greatest Lost Hits Of The 80′s countdown, this list is very female-centric (what can I say, I like rock chicks), but hopefully, some of these pop gems may trigger a long dormant memory.
At #37 is … “What Would Happen” by Meredith Brooks. Meredith hit a bullseye and briefly was part of the pop culture zeitgeist when her 90′s epic “Bitch” hit #2 in ’97. Her followup “What Would Happen” debuted on the Hot 100 in March ’98 at #46, but that’s also where it peaked. She would never hit the chart again.
Congrats to macguffin54, who was the first to correctly that yesterday’s Pixuzzle™ © ® was King Of The Hill (but no credit for thinking Tim Gunn was on ANTM)
