The new comedy For a Good Time, Call… brings together a whole bunch of my favorite elements: raunchy women (played by Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist standout Ari Graynor and the movie’s own co-screenwriter Lauren Miller), plenty of dildo jokes, the joys of phone sex, a hilarious gay pal (played by Justin Long), and a loving friendship. Oh, and Seth Rogen (Miller’s husband) appears in a cameo role as a horny pilot. That should seal it for you.
For a Good Time, Call… finds its two twentysomething leads turning to phone sex to make ends meet. But can they subsist on profitable orgasms forever? You’ll have to watch to find out, but in the meantime, check out my interviews with Graynor, Miller, her co-writer Katie Anne Naylon, and out gay director Jamie Travis to get your first taste of this funny, carnal flick. Hilariously, Justin Long based his character on Travis and mimicked his gestures and voice on film. You’ll discover whether that bothers or delights Travis below.
For a Good Time Call opens in select theaters tomorrow!
