It’s a busy weekend of gay TV as Matt Lucas returns to The Graham Norton Show, a closeted Terry has to survive a visit from his father on American Dad and The Amazing Race heads to the finish line. This weekend’s gay TV highlight, however, is easily the The White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which has Wanda Sykes as its featured entertainer, the first out comedian to get the gig.
But first, the action at the docks continues on today’s As the World Turns. We’ll be following the action with a liveblog so be sure to join us at 2PM EDT!

While there’s no mention of gay lawyer Rafe in today’s spoilers, there’s plenty of drama in store for Estella on today’s show, which could bring her favorite nephew into the picture.

After yesterday’s incident at the docks, Luke returns to being suspicious of Damian, demanding answers about the kind of business his spicy biodad is conducting.
Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO) 10:00 PM EDT
Maher’s guests this week includes gay-fave animator Seth MacFarlane, along with Matt Taibbi … who may not be a gay-fave but is certainly on of my faves..
White House Correspondents’ Dinner (MSNBC) 9:00 PM EDT, (CSPAN) To Be Announced
In 2006, gay-fave comedian Stephen Colbert drew headlines with a daring and hilarious performance. While the times aren’t crying quite so desperately for a satirical sword right now, I’m hoping Wanda Sykes will be able to deliver some sharp points as this year’s entertainer.
Anna Friel with Matt Lucas
The Graham Norton Show (BBC America) 10:00 PM EDT
Pushing Daisies fans can get a minor fix as they wait for the series to return as part of ABC’s summer burn-off theatre when Anna Friel joins Matt Lucas as Graham’s guest this week. Lucas can usually be expected to deliver the laughs, so this should be one of the season’s highlights.
Groomer Has It (Animal Planet) 9:00 PM EDT
Well, if this show weren’t already a campfest, this week the groomers are challenged to get dogs ready to match a bridal party.
Sit Down, Shut Up (Fox) 7:00 PM EDT
A party at Huey Lewis‘ house turns into something out of a John Hughes teen film from the 80s, with each of the teachers getting a chance to try something different from their usual habits.
The Amazing Race (CBS) 8:00 PM EDT
The final leg of the Race finds the finish line in Maui, where challenges include carrying pigs on the beach and sorting through surfboards. Will this season’s last gay standing, Luke, along with bionic mother Margie, be able to take the prize?
The Simpsons (Fox) 8:00 PM EDT
Jodie Foster is a guest voice this week in an episode that sounds likely to have some gay interest, featuring the histories of famous women retold in the Simpsons style.
American Dad (Fox) 9:30 PM EDT
Neighbors Terry and Greg return to the spotlight this week when Terry’s father comes for a visit. Since Terry isn’t the slightest bit out to his father, even to the point of having told his father that he has a baby and a "roommate", that presents the couple with a bit of a dilemma.
Brothers & Sisters (ABC) 10:00 PM EDT
While most of the action in tonight’s season finale is bound to focus on Tommy, who has been hiding out in Mexico, I’m much more interested in seeing how Saul ends up playing a role in the story about Ryan Lafferty’s mother. Saul hasn’t had much to do this season and, hopefully, he’ll put an end to that story.
And be sure to join us for the final B&S Viewing Party hosted by Ed Kennedy. Drinks are on the house! Enter your name below if you’d like an email reminder.
