The 2010 AfterElton Hot 100: Men of Color

Men of color are of course eligible to compete in our annual Hot 100 poll, but
every year we also encourage our readers to think specifically about
attractive men of color, in order to highlight racial diversity on our
site. Given the dearth of men of color on the main Hot 100, it’s
clearly something that needs to be highlighted.

Here’s how that list ranked up:

TOP 10 MEN OF COLOR

1. Taye Diggs

If there’s a gay or bisexual man who doesn’t think Taye Diggs is screaming hot, he doesn’t write for AfterElton.com – or vote in this poll where Diggs came in first by a large margin. Taye famously got Stella her groove back in the 1998 movie and reprised his role of Benny in the 2005 movie version of the musical Rent (alongside his wife, Idina Menzel). But, weirdly, Taye may be most famous for being, well, really, really hot.

2. Wilson Cruz

Wilson Cruz was determined to make it as an actor despite being out
from the very start of his career – and that’s saying something, given
that Cruz’ career started way back in the early 1990s. He may be most
well-known for playing the landmark bisexual character of Rickie Vasquez on the 1994 series My So-Called Life or HIV-positive Dr. Junito Vargas on Noah’s Arc, but the role he should be most proud of may be his work as a mentor of GLBT youth, especially youth of color. Now that’s hot.
