TV on Tap: Adam Lambert is Headed to The Hub, Sean Hayes Might Get “Grimm” and Chris Hayes Discusses His MSNBC Show

Neal (Matt Bomer) has to work with Eliza Dushku on tonight’s White Collar.

News

Adam Lambert has signed up as one of the mentors on The Hub’s Majors & Minors.
The reality competition will follow twelve young singers who will train
towards winning a recording contract. Is this the first time a U.S.
childrens network has had an out participant on one of its shows?

ABC Family has ordered an additional 22 episodes of Switched at Birth, making the first season a massive 32 episodes.

Not only is NBC thinking of having Sean Hayes star in a new comedy, but he might also make an appearance on the fantasy series  Grimm, in which he’s an executive producer.

Apparently, there are some tough negotiations going on over the fifth (and, according to creator Vince Gilligan, possibly the final) season of Breaking Bad. First AMC suggested a shortened season of six or eight episodes, and now the production company is shopping the critically-praised drama to other channels.

You read in yesterday’s Briefs that brainy cutie Chris Hayes is getting a weekend show on MSNBC. He talked with The Wrap about the show, and the lack of diversity on cable news, saying, “I feel extremely strongly given the fact that I can’t do anything about
my own white male straightness that I have the duty to double down in
efforts to make sure what we present is reflective of the diversity of
the country at large in a way that cable news doesn’t always do a good
job of.”

Thanks to the success of Bridesmaids, Maya Rudolph‘s role in the upcoming comedy Up All Night is being expanded. Originally, Rudolph and Christina Applegate played co-workers at a PR firm but now Rudolph will play a “larger than life” talk show host with Applegate playing her producer. I’m glad that they’re keeping this comedy about the troubles of being new parents relatable.
