Judd‘s gay neighbors are back for the finale of Love Bites.
I had mixed feelings about the idea of K-Town, the “Asian-American Jersey Shore“`series that got a lot of publicity but was not picked up by any channel. Sure, on one hand the stereotype of the studious Asian-American needs to be busted and Peter Le‘s abs (pictured on the right) are certainly welcome on my TV. On the other hand, “Asian-American Jersey Shore”. I guess it’s time for Persian-Americans to have that debate now that Bravo is working on a reality show focused on Persian-Americans in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, I feel hopeful about TLC’s upcoming reality show All American Muslim, which will follow five Muslim families in Dearborn, Michigan with different levels of faithfulness. (I wonder if any of them gets their breath checked for pork rinds.) TLC’s audience strikes me as rather conservative-leaning, so I expect it will be good for them to get to know some actual Muslim-Americans.
While I wasn’t a fan of Cenk Uygur‘s MSNBC show, I’m a little bit troubled to read a report saying that one of the reasons his show was canceled was that it became too difficult to book guests. If only we could get Eric Bolling off the Fox News airwaves by getting enough people to refuse to him.
Yesterday must have been the day for announcing upcoming reality shows, because Shannen Doherty is also getting her own show as she plans her wedding. I’m being kind by not looking up the length of Doherty’s last marriage.
One final bit on upcoming reality shows — The History Channel is working on one focused on medieval-style jousting.
Big Brother (CBS) 8:00 PM EDT
Cassi and Shelley are up for nomination. Who’ll get evicted and who’ll get a pass for the next few weeks?
Burn Notice (USA) 8:00 PM EDT
With Max dead, can Michael find out who did the deed before he becomes a suspect? I just hope this doesn’t turn out to be one of those stories where the spy agency has created an elaborately fake crisis to see how their new recruit handles a stressful situation …
Futurama (Comedy Central) 9:00 PM EDT
Guess who’s about out become the 31st century’s next big childrens’ TV host? Leela! Oh this is not going to go well.
Expedition Impossible (ABC) 9:00 PM EDT
Reality TV producers are always looking for excuses to get competitors to take off their clothes, and it sounds like Expedition Impossible is going to use henna tattoos to that effect on tonight’s episode.
Love Bites (NBC) 10:00 PM EDT
In the (unplanned) series finale, a near-death experience gets Kyle and Drew fighting, Jodie (Michelle Trachtenberg) moves in with her boyfriend, while memories of Annie (Becki Newton) haunts the guy who rescued her from a bad date. They didn’t plan this as a finale?
NY Ink (TLC) 10:00 PM EDT
Ami gets a visit from his former apprentice, Yoji, in tonight’s season finale.
Suits (USA) 10:00 PM EDT
As Mike hears from an old friend in need of help, Harvey has to choose between closing a deal or supporting his driver.
Wilfred (fx) 10:00 PM EDT
When Ryan starts volunteering at a hospice (where, from the looks of things, guest-star Rashida Jones works), he finds that Wilfred provides a far more valuable service.
Louie (fx) 10:30 PM EDT
I’m guessing tonight’s show will tackle the stress of taking children on road trips and visiting relatives, as Louie takes the family to visit his Great Aunt.
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC) 11:35 PM EDT
Dolly Parton will be visiting Jay tonight.
Childrens Hospital (Adult Swim) Midnight EDT
Someone dies in tonight’s episode, but considering Childrens Hospital‘s dedication to realism, I wouldn’t worry about this death lasting.
NTSF:SD:SUV:: (Adult Swim) 12:15 AM EDT
Adult Swim’s latest series attempts to do for crime procedurals what Childrens Hospital
did for hospital dramas. The series focuses on an anti-terrorism team
working to keep San Diego safe from threats, starting with an alcoholic
energy drink in tonight’s episode.
