TV on Tap: Rachel Maddow Tops the Ratings, Stephen Colbert Books an “Office” Job and Is TLC’s “Breaking Amish” Fake?

Now that Eureka has wrapped, Haven rules as Syfy’s quirky little town.

Stephen Colbert will appear on The Office as a member of Andy‘s former a cappella group. Too bad it’s too late to do an “Even Stephven” reunion.

Tim Dekay‘s spending his White Collar hiatus playing an exorcist.

TLC might pick up the Bukudu ancestry drama Who Do You Think You Are? Other channels are also considering the show, but TLC’s the closest to making a deal.

Starz’s Magic City keeps adding to its cast with Sherilyn Fenn joining the series as a tough madam. The retro style of the show will work well for her.

The faboo Missi Pyle will appear in one episode of the White House comedy 1600 Penn as a Secret Service agent assigned to the First Daughter.

Has Futurama jumped the shark or is it just changing its direction?

TLC’s Breaking Amish has been accused of being a fake. The series, which follows five Amish and Mennonite people exposed to modern society by living in NYC. However, MySpace and Facebook photos show the cast has lived outside of those communities long enough to have gotten married, had children and divorced. TLC has responded saying that those accusations will be addressed in the show and everyone should tune-in to see. Yes. Really. Their response boiled down to “Is our show fake? Tune in to find out!”

With a show for HBO already in the works, Guillermo del Toro is now developing a series for FX.

Early this week, The Rachel Maddow Show was the top cable news show among adults 25-54, the first time it’s done so well without any special guests or news to boost viewership. TRMS even beat an episode of The O’Reilly Factor that had a special guest — Daily Show host Jon Stewart, who usually brings new viewers to the Factor.

Parks & Recreation‘s Retta joins Anderson today, as he talks to Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena about their movie End of Watch (which, at first glance, makes me think of Southland) and…er, Justin Bieber‘s mom.

Tonight’s premiere picks up with Audrey still kidnapped (see what I said before about catching up? I’m totally going to need that marathon.) while Nathan and Drake try to find her. That doesn’t stop weird things from happening in Haven because then it wouldn’t be a quirky little Syfy town.
