TV on Tap: A “Whodunnit?” Begins and the Beauty of Writing on “Mad Men” Screencaps

The Disney Channel sitcom Good Luck Charlie is breaking new ground with an episode featuring a family with two moms. One of the moms gets along fine with (Good Luck parent) Amy Duncan but the other mom isn’t happy that Bob‘s stories are so boring. The episode will air in 2014 and Disney is working with various experts to make sure its handled well.

TV Land has recruited even more star power for its upcoming comedy Kirstie as TV Guide reports that Kristin Chenoweth, Kristen Johnston and Cloris Leachman have all booked guest appearances. Leachman will play Kirstie Alley‘s estranged mother while Chenoweth and Johnston will play rival performers, either up-and-coming (Chenoweth) or washed-up (Johnston).

What’s coming up for Hannibal after last night’s finale? In talking with Hitfix‘s Alan Sepinwall, Bryan Fuller promises Will and Hannibal‘s relationship will continue to evolve, “In my mind, everything that he has done to Will… is a radically unorthodox form of therapy, that Hannibal Lecter himself believes will allow Will Graham to get closer to his truer self. Whether that maintains itself to be true as the second season goes on and Hannibal is now looking at Will in a different light will be interesting territory to explore, both philosophically for the character, but also dramatically to see the hoops that we’re going to send both Will and Hannibal jumping through.”

In strange news, Portlandia‘s Carrie Brownstein revealed to The Hollywood reporter that the FBI Academy requested permission to use one of the show’s sketches in an advanced-intelligence class. The sketch used as a teaching aid was the “recycling twins” sketch on the different ways to sort your recyclables. I’m guessing it’s not being used in Will Graham‘s classes. Still, it is one of my favorite sketches:

CNN media critic Howard Kurtz, who recently thought he found Jason Collins‘ horrible flaw when his coming out article tried to hide his engagement to a woman (even though it actually … mentioned it in the article), is moving to Fox News.

Degrassi (Teen Nick) 9:00 PM ET
It’s an hour-long graduation day special as Fiona, Eli, Owen and the rest of the class get ready to say goodbye. In Fiona’s case, that means figuring out if graduating also means saying goodbye to her adorably quirky girlfriend. I just care that someone gets to be Imogen’s on-screen girlfriend and we get to see a little of Tristan since his brother is part of the graduating class.

Stevie identifies what Bravo reality shows could really use to make them better — zombies. I’m pretty sure these zombies don’t eat brains, though, there would be nothing to make them hungry on the Real Housewives of Orange County.
