Starz has ordered 16 episodes of Outlander an adaptation of Diana Gabaldon‘s novels from Battlestar Galatica producer Ronald D. Moore.
One thing I’ve learned from watching real estate-themed reality shows is that a dedicated TV fan can usually find a home featured on a TV show pretty quickly. It turns out that skill isn’t limited to people creating their own “Jeff Lewis worked here” maps, as one Mad Men fan found the house used in Sunday’s finale as the whorehouse where Don grew up.
OWN just doubled down on soap The Haves and Have Nots, ordering 16 more episodes to go with the 16 episodes initially ordered as part of the first season. The additional expisodes are expected to air next year.
The latest TV-inspired beer comes from the awesome Albuquerque-based Marble Brewery who are planning a Breaking Bad-inspired brew, Heisenberg’s Dark, an India Black Ale. Unfortunately for most Breaking Bad fans, it will only be available at their pub in Downtown Albuquerque.
People are naming their baby girls Khaleesi. I suspect many of them weren’t willing to try to teach their daughter to spell Daenerys.
Maybe we can have nice things after all, last May CBS This Morning, a morning news show that doesn’t bother with stuff like Kim Kardashian giving birth, gave CBS its best sweeps since 1994.

Adrienne is still going on with her “Will will break you heart!” so Sonny warns her she won’t be happy if she tries to make him choose. Somehow, I don’t like where this is going.
Big Brother (CBS) 8:00 PM ET
CBS’ summer addiction returns and this season Team Gay has Chicago improv comic Andy Herren. I’m hoping he can mix Ragan‘s brains with some much-needed humor. Not that I think he has any better a chance than any previous gay houseguest.
Melissa & Joey (ABC Family) 8:00 PM ET
It turns out Joe‘s passive aggressive powers includes the ability to deliver a vacation-ruining injury while playing pool. I don’t think it would be possible for Mel to express the proper amount of fury for her getaway with Austin (Trevor Donovan) being ruined, but she’ll surely try.
Baby Daddy (ABC Family) 8:30 PM ET
It was just a matter of time before a sitcom about a bunch of single guys living together would have the guys pretend to be a couple at some point. That comes tonight as Ben‘s attempts to get his daughter into day care fail until the assistant manager mistakes Tucker as Ben’s boyfriend.
Million Dollar Listing New York (Bravo) 9:00 PM ET
Last week, we basically got a cameo from Freddie‘s partner, will we see more of him as work pressures put a strain on Freddie’s personal life? Maybe if Freddie’s friends didn’t have the threat of a great tea shower.
Ghost Hunters (Syfy) 9:00 PM ET
The TAPS team heads to a Missouri winery for their next investigation, which sounds like a great reason to watch with a drinking game where you drink every time you feel the need to yell, “I thought I was the one drinking, here.” at the TV.
Hot in Cleveland (TV Land) 10:00 PM ET
It’s a reunion of The Carol Burnett Show as Carol Burnett and Tim Conway appears as… I think Burnett plays one of Elka‘s old friends? Victoria‘s mother? Both? I’m not sure it matters if it means getting to watch Carol Burnett.
Futurama (Comedy Central) 10:00 PM ET
Fry ends up marooned on a planet (is it Omnicron Persei 8? Another planet in the Omnicron Persei system, maybe?) but it’s okay, he makes a new friend from the experience. You know how well things go when Fry makes a new friend.
The Challenge (MTV) 10:00 PM ET
MTV’s program to keep former Real World cast members employed brings back the Rivals theme and brings back two gay Real World alumni — Cancun‘s Derek Chavez (who is forced to team with Robb from St. Thomas) and Back to New Orleans‘s Preston Roberson-Charles (teamed with his former roommate Knight). There are two gay guys in the Challenge house so there’s hope the gays might be involved in the show’s hook-ups. (Does that still happen? I usually get bored within a few episodes.)
Necessary Roughness (USA) 10:00 PM ET
Dani‘s next client is a basketball player struggling with his free throws. If she really wants to impress us, she’ll help him work through those issues more quickly than what little screen time Rex will likely get.
The Exes (TV Land) 10:30 PM ET
Holly is forced to choose between her friends and her dating life when her boyfriend Paul (Diedrich Bader) tells the guys he’d rather they not be around when he’s with Holly.
