We haven’t had a chance to see Adam Pally‘s debut on The Mindy Project yet but he’s already been promoted to a series regular. My excitement is held in check by the way Mindy has yet to do much with the great Beth Grant.
Deadline reports that Marvel is looking to turning the “one shot” short film “Agent Carter” from the Iron Man 3 DVD into a TV series. The film follows Captain America‘s WWII girlfriend who becomes a secret agent after her boyfriend is sent to the 21st century via iceberg.
OMG, guys, TV Guide says that ABC might be making Modern Family Goes Down Under. Reports from Australian blogs say that the Australian Tourism Board is trying to lufe the hit comedy for the next episode where the Pritchett clan go on vacation.
Taye Diggs will appear in an episode of New Girl as a complication for Jess and Nick. What is it about Magical Pixie Girls and Taye Diggs?
The faboo Missi Pyle has joined the TV Land pilot Jennifer Falls, which follows a career woman (the also faboo Jaime Pressly) who moves back to the small town where she grew up after losing her job. Pyle will play Pressly’s sister which… certainly has potential.
In a blog post George R.R. Martin expressed his appreciation for Breaking Bad saying, “Walter White is a bigger monster than anyone in Westeros. (I need to do something about that).” Is Mr. Martin familiar with a monster from Game of Thrones named Joffrey?
Wynn Duffy will be a bigger presence on the upcoming season of Justified the FX drama has promoted Jere Burns to a series regular. I think that means I’m going to have to work harder not to get mixed up and call him a grocery store chain.
It turns out upcoming Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul could have ended up at someplace other than AMC. The Hollywood Reporter says that negotiations with AMC almost fell through. If AMC couldn’t work out a deal by deadline, FX (which originally passed on Breaking Bad), Netflix (which takes credit for helping Breaking Bad find new viewers) and WGN America all were waiting for a chance to bid for the spin-off.
I don’t know about this. ABC wants to make a limited series that retells the story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame from the perspective of Esmerelda.
I miss the days when most hit TV shows would get turned into a board game.
In ratings news more people tuned in to check out Brooklyn Nine-Nine than Dads though both shows had an okay start. Meanwhile, the results for New Girl and The Mindy Project were a mixed bag. Both shows were up from their season premieres, but essentially flat from last year. Next week will be much tougher as NCIS and The Voice‘s results show are returning.

Project Runway (Lifetime) 9:00 PM ET
Several Project Runway superfans get makeovers and have a designer create a new look for them. I’d like to think that means we’ve got an “everyday woman” type challenge where there’s hope that when a designer complains about the existence of women who are bigger than a size zero, the client can respond with a withering “I think you meant to include some fleurchons on this.”
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox) 9:30 PM ET
It’s a slow TV night so if you missed Fox’s promising new comedy and audiences new favorite gay cop, you really should take advantage of this second chance to catch it. Me, I’m re-recording and re-watching it after wishing I didn’t delete the episode once the episode ended.
Valerie’s Story: A Meredith Viera Special (NBC) 10:00 PM ET
TV icon Valerie Harper and her battles with cancer are the focus of this NBC News special.
Childrens Hospital (Adult Swim) Midnight ET
As you know, nothing is more important to the doctors who work at a hospital than getting that third Michelin star, so the stakes are really high this week when a hospital critic visits. Also, maybe someone’s life needs to be saved. Or something
NTSF: SD: SUV:: (Adult Swim) 12:15 AM ET
The latest NTSF mission requries Trent and Sam to swap faces. I hope that means we find out which cast member can do a solid Nicholas Cage impression.
