News

Jason Sudeikis confirmed that he won’t be returning to Saturday Night Live next season. Other departures: Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and, in mid-season, Seth Meyers. That means SNL will face a large talent drain next year.

Jason SudeikisThere’s a long list of reasons why I’ll miss Jason Sudeikis.

If you had issues with Revolution, creator Eric Kripke wasn’t happy either. The good news, Ben Edlund is joining the show. Supernatural fans might remember how adding Edlund to the writing staff helped that show go from “pleasant diversion” to “freaking addictive”.

A middle school teacher says he was coerced into resigning after an appearance on a Bravo show, the New York Daily News reports. Health teacher Stefan Serie appeared in the background of a party during the premiere episode of Princesses: Long Island, where he at least managed to get his shirt off.

Stefan SerieI’m sure there could be a better screen cap of Stefan Serie shirtless,
but that would require watching
Princesses: Long Island… which, no.

Freddie Prinze Jr. will appear in the Bones season premiere, according to TVLine. He’ll be playing a CIA agent and a former associate of Booth. There’s the potential for the character to turn into a multi-episode arc.

Maybe we’re not near the end of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia after all:

Heidi Klum will appear in the premiere episode of Parks & Recreation, according to EW. Klum will play the mayor of a small town in Denmark who is receiving a “Women in Government” award along with Leslie Knope. I still have fond memories of Klum on Spin City, I’m thrilled to see her return to sitcoms.

Today’s show has the cast of Kinky Boots.

Margaret Cho guest-hosts, Christina Ricci visits.

Burn Notice (USA) 9:00 PM ET
There are only seven episodes left and let’s hope none of them ever attempt a cyber ops again. Another episode like last week could keep me from having fond memories of this show once its over. Tonight’s episode finds Michael drugged and hoping he doesn’t end up revealing too much about himself, Sounds like this may be a return to form for the series.

Burn Notice, "Psycological Warefare"

Big Brother (CBS) 9:00 PM ET
Once again Aaryn and her general terribleness is nominated for eviction. Maybe this week will be the week?

Degrassi (Teen Nick) 9:00 PM ET
Back in the days when Degrassi‘s main gay was Marco, I really appreciated how he had a varied social life. Since people are all different, I didn’t have a problem that Tristan‘s circle of friends began and ended with Tori and Maya. However, I am pretty excited at the idea of Tristan getting some straight male friends in Miles and Chuie. That should be the beginning of making Tristan a more developed character.

Project Runway (Lifetime) 9:00 PM ET
Was that all it took to get the Project Runway judges to stop ignoring the rules of the challenge? Seasons and seasons of frustration could have been avoided just by having Tim Gunn sit with the judges and point out that one of the top looks in an unconventional materials challenge barely used the unconventional material? I hope we can expect this sort of thing all season. This week, however, I suspect the rule-testing will come from Timothy who has the kind of pretension I can’t help but find adorable in a designer. This week’s challenge involves working with pricy designer jewelry, which I foresee creating some issues for the guy focused on sustainability.

Wilfred, "Intuition"

Wilfred (FX) 10:00 PM ET
Superman and Krypto, Batman and Ace, the Bat Hound — that’s the kind of thing I hope tonight’s episode is aiming for as Ryan and Wilfred fight crime.

Hollywood Game Night (NBC) 10:00 PM ET
Sean Hayes and Dax Shepard round-up a line-up of SNL alumni with Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis.

Watch What Happens Live (Bravo) 11:00 PM ET
Tonight’s show has Lisa Kudrow and Piper Perabo.

Childrens Hospital (Adult Swim) Midnight ET
After five seasons, it’s time for an event premiere as termites force the staff to operate out of a military base in Japan. That sounds like quite a commute, they should work in a staff place crash while they’re at it.

NTSF: SD: SUV

NTSF: SD: SUV:: (Adult Swim) 12:15 AM ET
The anti-terrorism task force that does more damage than any terrorist organization returns with a new cast member, Doctor Who companion Karen Gillan.

What will you be watching tonight? Please share in the comments!
