I’m now forced to choose between my blissfully happy avoidance of 24 and my enjoyment of Stephen Fry, as Deadline reports that Fry has signed up to play the UK Prime Minister in the upcoming 24 series.

The CW’s Flash pilot has cast two (potential) villains with Rick Cosnett (you might recognize him as The Vampire DiariesDr. Wes) as Eddie Thawne, a police detective whose name sounds a lot like a certain Flash archvillian‘s alter ego. Meanwhile, Denielle Panabaker will play Caitlin Snow a bioengineering expert who definitely shares a name with a another DC Comics villain.

USA has ordered Benched, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The comedy stars Happy EndingsEliza Coupe as a former corporate attorney who becomes a public defender after suffering from a nervous breakdown. Better Off Ted hottie Jay Harrington plays her co-worker.

Paul James is making his way to Grey’s Anatomy. TVLine reports that the Greek alum will be joining the hospital drama for a potentially recurring role.

A new familiar face is coming to the town of Salem. Soaps In Depth reports that One Life to Live alum Kassie DePaiva will take on the role of Eve Donovan.

Rose McGowan will appear on Once Upon a Time– but playing an established character. I’ll let you decide if you want to click through and be spoiled on the details.

In amazing news, The Hollywood Reporter says that Margaret Cho has joined the cast of Tina Fey‘s upcoming comedy set at a former women’s college. Cho will play the school president, the person who made the difficult choice to turn the school co-ed. Don’t worry, Cho is supposed to continue to appear on Drop Dead Diva

Margaret Cho in "30 Rock"Let’s remember how amazing it was the last time Margaret Cho was on a Tina Fey show…

There’s yet another Marvel character coming to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. I’ll admit, I became a little less excited once I remembered there are no mutants on S.H.I.E.L.D. and I was thinking of a different character.

Fox got disappointing news when it saw the ratings for Rake‘s premiere. The lawyer drama lost half of the viewers from its American Idol lead-in and even more tuned out during the broadcast.

Listings

The Queen Latifah Show (syndicated) Check local listings
Today’s guest listings include “Liza Minnilli” which I’m pretty sure is a typo for Liza Minnelli. Still, it would be an awesome name for a Liza Minnelli drag performer who believes her lip synching is good enough to be worth a Best New Artist Grammy.

The Talk (CBS) Check local listings
Neil Patrick Harris and the cast of How I Met Your Mother (Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan) are visiting the Talk table to discuss tonight’s landmark HIMYM episode.

Days of Our Lives (NBC) Check local listings
After Friday’s episode ended with Ari Christening getting interrupted, I can’t imagine today’s installment won’t continue right from where things left off.

Hollywood Game Night (NBC) 8:00 PM ET
Last week, Hollywood Game Night‘s first hour (which airs against How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls) included 2 Broke GirlsBeth Behrs among its guests. Tonight, they’ve got Cobie Smulders. Joining Smulders are Taran Killam, Henry Winkler, Angie Harmon, Mayim Bialik and Mark Feuerstein. Then in the second hour, Nate Berkus, Erica Christensen, Michelle Trachtenberg, Mel B, Padma Lakshmi and Michael Weatherly join the games.

How I Met Your Mother (CBS) 8:00 PM ET
For HIMYM‘s 200th episode, the tables are turned as The Mother explains how she met Ted. Or, more likely, a story that will likely end with “…and that’s how I met your Uncle Robbie”. At least we can look forward to seeing Andrew Rannells again.

Bitten (Syfy) 8:00 PM ET
Lost Girl (Syfy) 10:00 PM ET
Now that Syfy has realized you can’t fight Teen werewolves with sexy Canadian werewolves, it’s switching the time slots of Bitten and the queer-inclusive Lost Girl. Fans, make sure your DVRs have properly adjusted its programming.

Switched at Birth (ABC Family) 8:00 PM ET
Since it seems like Bay‘s natural state to be clashing with a student at Carlton, the hope that she might work things out with Sharee are sabotaged by a “false accusation”. I have a feeling that might involve the grease-stained sweater of Bay’s former Carlton frenemy Natalie.

The Following (Fox) 9:00 PM ET
So far, there’s nothing gay in The Following‘s second season but it does have a pair of eye candy twins, which seems to be a step towards trying to reach for a level of ridiculousness where law enforcement’s competence stops being an issue.

The Fosters (ABC Family) 9:00 PM ET
Poor wise-beyond-his-years Jude decides it’s time to start packing his belongings and hope his next home will be half as nice as the one Stef and Lena provided.

Being Human (Syfy) 9:00 PM ET
As the gang continues to face the consequences of stuff they did last season, Sally finds that her connection to Donna is stronger than ever. Considering how much fun Amy Aquino has been, what’s bad for Sally is good for the audience.

Herblock: The Black & the White (HBO) 9:00 PM ET
HBO’s latest documentary profiles Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist Herbert L. Block, whose 55 years at the Washington Post were vital to political satire. That’s not hyperbole, you can hear Jon Stewart praise Block’s influence during the film.

Archer (FX) 10:00 PM ET
Pam finds herself in trouble with the yakuza, which prompts Sterling to put on his slightly darker black suit and for me to mutter “Emphasis on the wrong sylable” at the TV for twenty minutes.

Teen Wolf (MTV) 10:00 PM ET
With Mischief Night out of the way, its time for a big bacchanal of a Halloween party where black lights are as good as any excuse to shed clothing and paint each other with day-glo designs. It’s also a chance for Scott and Stiles to decide if Kira and her electrical powers make her a welcome ally or a worrisome new source of stress.

Chozen (FX) 10:30 PM ET
After two episodes, Chozen finally catches up with his old frenemy Phantasm. I hope everyone has any firearms far away at the time.

The Colbert Report (Comedy Central) 11:30 PM ET
With the Super Bowl coming up, I’m guessing Stephen will be asking Nate Silver to predict the big game.

Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) 11:35 PM ET
Vampire Weekend is scheduled to appear on tonight’s show.
