Keith Olbermann is returning to television, the New York Times reports. He’ll be getting his own show on ESPN2, where his beat will include pop culture and current events but not politics.

It turns out American Dad will be wrapping up its run at Fox as its tenth season will be the animated comedy’s final season on broadcast TV. It’s not the last fans will see Stan, Francine and Roger, TBS will air the eleventh season.

When The Mindy Project returns, James Franco will join the show for a two-episode arc as a model-turned doctor who takes over Mindy‘s workload while she’s away.

A fan favorite is returning to Supernatural. I’ll let you decide if you want to click on the link and find out who or just spend the next few months avoiding spoilers.

Showtime has already ordered a second season of Ray Donovan.

IAVA, the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, will be honoring Jon Stewart with its Civilian Service Award for The Daily Show‘s coverage of the backlog at the office of Veterans’ Affairs. In 2011, IAVA honored Stephen Colbert, calling him “the Bob Hope of our generation.” If the prize were to have Paul Rieckhoff visit your talk show, we’d all win.

With The Lying Game cancelled, the AV Club makes a plea for the renewal of the other ABC Family show nervously waiting on a renewal/cancellation decision, Bunheads. At this point, ABC Family should try to find a way to order more episodes just to build on the way the success of The Fosters and Switched at Birth is giving it a reputation for giving the family drama a level of depth not seen on TV in a while.

Listings

The Talk (CBS) Check local listings
Devious MaidsAna Ortiz, Judy Reyes, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez and Edy Ganem are on today’s show along with Top Chef alum Fabio Viviani. Too bad, Vicki Lawrence is no longer listed as guest co-host, with another appearance by Carnie Wilson. I’m starting to think Wilson’s really good at answering the phone quickly when the Talk producers call.

Days of Our Lives (NBC) Check local listings
Fresh off that talk about letting go of that suspicion that he’s just dragging Sonny down with responsibility like a ball and chain, Will finds a new reason for insecurity thanks to Brent.

Tavis Smiley (PBS) Check local listings
Tavis is set to talk with singer Amy Grant. If there were a show where there was a good chance of seeing a discussion of Grant’s complicated relationship with her gay fans, this is the show.

Melissa & Joey (ABC Family) 8:00 PM ET
Joe has another case of sitcom hormones overcoming his brain when he can see that Mel‘s new pal (Shannon Elizabeth) is a bad friend who Mel should stop seeing. He still ends up dating her because he’s a single guy in a sitcom.

Baby DaddyDoes this mean we’ve seen the last of Matt Dallas‘ character
or is this a “If they don’t show a body…” situation?

Baby Daddy (ABC Family) 8:30 PM ET
Being a sitcom, I wouldn’t have expected Matt Dallas‘ story arc to end with his character getting killed off — a supernatural drama, sure but not a light comedy. Now, is Baby Daddy the kind of show that can make jokes about participating at a funeral work?

Million Dollar Listing New York (Bravo) 9:00 PM ET
Not only does Fredrik get to work on the biggest listing of his career, its one where he can mess with Ryan by increasing the price on units. Again, we if this were a scripted show, I’d be bracing for a downfall.

Ghost Hunters (Syfy) 9:00 PM ET
For the midseason finale, the TAPS team heads to a Missouri mineral springs that used to be the kind of place people would hope to find a miracle cure and sometimes ended up dead..

Futurama, "Saturday Morning Fun Pit"This is turning out to be the year for Muppet Babies homages.

Futurama (Comedy Central) 10:00 PM ET
Good news everybody! It’s that time of the season when Futurama travels to alternate realities and sees what the Planet Express crew would be like under a different premise. This time, we get to see what it would be like if Futurama were different Saturday morning cartoons. I can’t wait to see Fry running in place in front of one of those Hanna-Barbera rolling backgrounds. I mean, a tribute to Saturday morning cartoons better include jokes about cheap animation techniques.

Hot in Cleveland (TV Land) 10:00 PM ET
Joy gets a second chance to make this work with Sean (Eddie Cibrian). Last time, finding out he’s a Brony ended the relationship. This time, things are complicated when Sean ends up striking a bromance with her boss Bob (Dave Foley). I think Joy’s going to spend their next breakup looking up trendy “bro” terms. (Don’t tell her about Twinkies’ new bro-centric marketing plan.)

Hot in Cleveland, "Pony Up"I just realized, I would watch the hell out of a sitcom where Eddie Cibrian and Dave Foley
are an “opposites-attract” couple. Someone should pitch that.

Necessary Roughness (USA) 10:00 PM ET
Dr. Dani‘s new career direction gets really exciting when she counsels an accountant with a secret.

The Exes (TV Land) 10:30 PM ET
A year ago, seeing the guys fake an online dating profile on Holly‘s behalf would just be a common sitcom trope at work. Now, that’s a plot that captures the world where Catfish is a phenomenon of a hit series. At least they manage to hook in Grant Show.

Grant Show on The Exes

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC) 11:35 PM ET
Jane Lynch will be joining Jay tonight.
