You’ll Go (Lady) Gaga When You Discover Who Was Snubbed In This Year’s VMA Nominations

The nominees for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards have been announced, with Katy Perry receiving the most noms (nine) ,and Adele right behind with seven nominations.

The biggest snub for Video of the Year appears to be Lady Gaga‘s “Born This Way,” although she did pick up a nom for Female Video, plus two technical noms for “Judas.”

All in all, this year’s crop of nominees prove a couple of things. There are some really, really stupid band names out there (although I love the guy who calls himself Lupe Fiasco. If I ever become a musician, I’m going to call myself Desmond Debacle).

And it’s sad that they wouldn’t give Gaga a Best Video nom, but they had no problem honoring a pathetic homophobe.

Below you can see Katy screeching about her nine noms, and then a list of the bigger categories. Who are you rooting for?
